Designed in partnership with David Benton Architecture, Impact substantially renovated this historic, semi-detached row house in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Capitol Hill. The project included a rear bump-out, a 3rd floor partial pop-up, a basement renovation, and an ADU/garage renovation. Meticulous care and attention was paid to the design and selection of rear facade materials, including exterior brick, Boral trim, and mansard roof synthetic slate. Historically-appropriate trim details were installed throughout the primary living spaces. New 3" rift and quartered white oak was laid in traditional and herring-bone patterns throughout the home. The first floor was widened at the existing dog-leg to allow for a full kitchen island
